Ryan runs K9 Magazine, UK’s top dog magazine. He wanted to give his users the chance to feature their own pets on the front of his magazine - I built a custom script to allow anyone online to put a picture of their animal on a section of different K9 Magazine covers.

The site is quite successful, and has had much interest as you can tell from the amount of images submitted. I introduced a breed cloud, which tags the picture you upload with the correct breed, which later becomes great information for filtering magazines and seeing covers with just a particular breed of your choice.

I’ve done a few pieces of work for Ryan, and he’s a pleasure to do business with, I hope to continue our working relationship further.

I had an idea to create an online zone for web developers and designers to keep track of all their projects, ideas, feedback, clients and contacts. I started on the design, and markup and was quite happy with the end result.

After using a lot of AJAX technologies at work, I decided to put it to good use, and make an ajax comments section on the blog. Any comments posted will automatically be updated on anyones screen that is looking at it without any page refreshes, it works great! I just need lots of time to do the rest of the site and features smile

Eddy has started afresh, and wanted a new, slick, clean and stylish corporate look to go along with his business.

First I designed his logo, and needed to come up with a suitable and recognizable symbol, so I created a completely vector based reflective glass ball with a kitchen door inside.

From this I designed Edd’s business cards, which have been printed double sided on matt laminate to give them a really nice look and feel.

Next will be the website, which is in the design stages right now. It will be a fresh design just like the business cards and logo, but incorporate all of his products with lots of imagery.

Quite an old one but deserves a spot on my portfolio, was the first painting I did with my Wacom graphics tablet so I took much pride in completing it.

REV Rivals is the first of a few iPhone applications in the books for Labtix to develop, so for starters they needed a stylish logo.

After going through their design concept for REV Rivals I picked a concept to incorporate into the logo. Gear changing will be doable using the iPhone’s touch screen capabilities, and I wanted to demonstrate this in the logo. I vectored a gearstick and also the hand, to try and simulate gear changes with movement of the finger.

MySpace Boost was an interesting design job, where the main focus of the project was to advertises services to boost MySpace hits and traffic. They wanted a sleak new web2.0 look and feel, and I delivered as requested.

I experimented with tall font called SansMK, which gave it the feel I was after.

I do not believe MySpace Boost was taken any further unfortunately, so there isn’t a live site you can view the entire design working.

Something someone and myself are starting - I designed some corporate ID to set the company colour schemes and design out.

I did two different colour variations, and we decided to keep the red version - at least for now.

There will be a website to follow at some point too, stay tuned.

Chris wanted a place to share his game development maps - he’s worked in such companies as Climax, and wanted to keep an online portfolio for possible future jobs and also just for a personal track record. I created both the design, the php and also a custom bespoke backend ran from a MySQL DB in the background - to give him the power to maintain and update his portfolio with ease.

Chris now has got a place working at Crytek in Germany (creators of such games as Crysis and FarCry!) best of luck to him in the future smile

Taken with my friend’s Sony Cybershot, only a budget consumer camera but came out pretty well with a little depth of field.

Tom’s client wanted a new look for their website, to give a more professional look and give their customers the ability to both create an online shopping basket and also order online.

I designed both the website and the logo for them, giving a new technical look based on the performance car theme.
