Merry ChristmasDec 25th category: blog | tags: xmas xbox particle flash bitmap 360
A year of hard work, and many other things. Not having my Grandmother around for the first Christmas is pretty horrible, already missing that morning call. With my other half having to work today (Luckily only 4hours!) I’m all alone for Christmas morning! Although I got a bunch of xbox360 games I could be playing so it’s not all bad
I’ve been doing some more experiments and tests with Flash, and found (through some great advice from Sean Cooper, maker of a hit Flash game Zombie Wars) that my method of Particle creation wasn’t the best one, and in fact by purely using Bitmaps and BitmapData to draw each particle is way faster and more efficient then overlaying MovieClips! I was quite surprised but the increase is significant.
Anyway, enough talk - hope everyone has a great Christmas and New year, drink lots and enjoy the time off!
